Last night 16 of the 20 new students turned up. It was a good mixture of overts and coverts. The night fished at 9pm or so. There are 4 mcguire grads staying at the backpackers. Rooms are ok. I got stuf all sleep. Beds are not the best but tonight I expect to sleep better. Diferent sleep pattern now after being overseas for a while. 4 more grads turned up today. So 20 new students all up.
Arrived in sydney. Just waiting for my bags. Sun is out and the weather is fine.
Sitting at the airport waiting for my flight to sydney. Have not been updating my blog for a while. I now have then mean to do it with a phone that has a built in keyboard so I have no excuse now. My last course was in november. It was a great course in melbourne. I lost my phone on the course but that is a good thing. I now have a fancy new one with gps and all the other toys. Using the pa system on the plan is still good for kicks. I wil ask to do it on this flight if I can.
Just on my way home on the sky bus and i am still buzzing from another disclosure on the plane. 180 people on the plane and it was the hardest one yet. I had a front row seat so i could talk to the cabin crew while we climbed out of sydney airport. They where more than pleased to accept my request. While exiting from the rest room I got asked by the crew if i would like to use the PA then. I was put on the spot and the fear hit hard. In mark’s words ‘i was bricking it’. I did the disclosure and got lots of clap’s. When the plane landed i waited in my seat till the plane was half empty. I got a lot of well done’s and even one well dressed business man telling me he is now going to expand his comfort zone’s. I even got a lovely sales lady stopping me in the airport and telling me how she would never do it. What a great ending to the sydney 2007 september McGuire program.
